Faith is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. God wants us to have faith in Him and His love for us. Great people such as Augustine and Luther were moved by the challenge in scripture “without faith it is impossible to please God.” Faith in God is life-changing. Faith enables us to trust God. Faith helps us see what we cannot see; and believe what we cannot touch. Faith can move mountains, soften hearts, and reach for the sky. Faith can make great dreams a reality. Faith makes life exciting and the impossible possible. With God all things are possible. Jesus declared, “If you have the faith of a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” (Mt.17.20). Are there mountains in your path? Are there giants threatening you? Do the challenges and adversities of the day make you feel small? Look up to God. Trust in God, and ask God to fill you with faith in Him. Then trust God that it is not how able we are, but how able God is that makes all the difference. Then go ahead, share your faith. Encourage someone feeling down. Touch another with hope. Pray for those in need. Share God’s love. Reach out and make someone’s day brighter.

Almighty and Loving God, touch my heart and fill my life with faith and trust in you and your love. Take away the shadows of past failures and the guilt of missed opportunities, and breathe fresh life from your Spirit into my life; give me fresh dreams, and a new confidence in your plan and purpose for my life, and a new trust in your power to see me through. Amen.
