2022 Mission Offerings
September 11 - Cary Home
Cary Home for Children uses an individualized approach to prepare youth for successful re-entry to the community through: Behavior Modification, Case Management,
Community Engagement, Educational Support, Family Services, Treatment.
September 18 - Neighbors in Need
Supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States, including the Council of American Indian Ministries (CAIM), Justice and advocacy, and direct service projects supported by Justice and Local Church Ministries. Our neighborhood tutoring program received a multi year grant in 2015.
September 25 - CUE Seminaries
Supports the 3 seminaries in our region, Chicago, United, Eden. To help prepare men and women for ministry and mission.
October 2 - LUM Jubilee Christmas
Jubilee Christmas is a special LUM program for families with children ages 12 and under. Families who participate in Jubilee Christmas are invited to a host church site and are able to select new toys for their children. Families also receive some food items to make your Christmas dinner more special.
October 9 - UCC Higher Education
There are 48 educational institutions related to the United Church of Christ, including academies, colleges, universities, and seminaries. They span the United States. Each is independent, self-governing, and fully accredited.
Each institution expresses partnership with the church—closely- related schools participate as full members of the UCC Council for Higher Education; others are historically-related which means they recognize a past relationship with the church but are not full members of the Council.
These institutions provide opportunities to explore moral values, the importance of social responsibility, an ethic of service, and the ability to think critically. Many have campus ministries that are ecumenical and interfaith. Each embodies the UCC ethos where God is Still Speaking . . .
October 23 - Merom Campership
Provides funds to send our own Immanuel youth to Merom Church Camp near Terre Haute IN. this is a wonderful opportunity for our youth.
